NILFISK Extreme X300 gains “Best Buy” rating in UK consumer association test

Leading UK consumer association “Which?” has given a top “Best Buy” rating to the NILFISK Extreme X300 vacuum.
Which? – one of the most highly regarded consumer associations in the UK – said the NILFISK Extreme X300 “passed all our tests with flying colours, and richly deserves its Best Buy status.”
It reported in its March 2008 edition that the bagged cylinder cleaner “offered excellent cleaning performance on floorboards and laminate. What’s more this is one of the few cylinders that also does well on carpet. Allergen retention and pet hair pick up are top notch too, so this could be a good choice if you suffer from allergies.“
Which? noted in its review that this top model from the NILFISK Extreme series – which it said “put in a sterling performance” – comes with a free five-year guarantee covering parts and labour, so it had no problem recommending it as a Best Buy. It tested 24 vacs and 13 different brands on a range of performance criteria.
Nilfisk-Advance General Manager Søren Sørensen says: “This endorsement shows there is a definite place in the market for a high quality vac. It’s really good to note that NILFISK Extreme is recognised by Which? as offering top notch performance on getting up pet hairs and allergens.”
The vac gives excellent cleaning results. Where it did exceptionally well in the Which? test was on cleaning carpets. This is due to the construction of the vacuum cleaner and how much dirt is picked up from the floor. The suction power at the nozzle and ability to pick up dust makes the NILFISK Extreme one of the best vacuum cleaners in the category of difficult cleaning tasks such as deep cleaning of carpets and removal of pet hairs.
The NILFISK Extreme is extremely hygienic for users and features a safety system to make sure the dust bag doesn’t burst and leave an irritating mess inside the vac. The dust bag is made from a fabric-like material and has a better filling, increased filter efficiency and longer HEPA filter lifetime, and it is more hygienic than ordinary paper bags.
The NILFISK Extreme vacuum cleaner is absolutely HEPA-tight. It has dust-proof gaskets, so dirt goes in but what comes out is extremely clean air. Many competitor machines have HEPA filters but no HEPA-tight construction.
Which? magazine:

It also analyses thousands of financial products, and surveys hundreds of thousands of consumers to get their views, on the reliability of their cars for example. The Which? magazine is published once a month.
